TAG is introducing a newly designed Application Programming Interface (API) built to ease the complexity of controlling diverse workflows that reside within the Company’s Multi-Channel Monitoring (MCM) system. The new API is a simpler, unified version that allows users to control every functionality for all workflows under one umbrella, eliminating the need for application-specific APIs. The streamlined interface opens the door for users to easily achieve customization and integration. The API will be showcased during demonstrations at NAB in TAG’s Booth # W 3517.
Built on the foundation of TAG’s unique ability to control every system functionality from its own APIs, this enriched version goes even further by consolidating operations with one interface that uses a common language for every workflow. Benefits for media companies and broadcasters include the ability to quickly respond to the need for application development without the time-consuming exercise of learning and using different languages for different workflows and formats. In addition, having one common API allows features and functionalities to be incorporated faster, permitting users to rapidly seize the opportunities of changes in technology as they emerge. The API also serves as a single point-of-contact and the gateway to TAG’s vast number of capabilities, for applications including automation, orchestration, and deep integration.
“This updated API supports TAG’s corporate strategy of giving our customers a Zer0 Friction experience,” explains Paul Briscoe, TAG’s Chief Architect. ”It brings together all our workflow functionality into one API; for all functionalities, integrations, automations – making users’ lives so much easier. It totally eliminates the time formerly needed to learn different rules and languages for each application so users can concentrate on creative business and operational developments to grow their audiences.”
