At NAB Show 2023, visitors to the TAG Video Systems booth will see a joint demonstration for monitoring uncompressed video workflows with PTP synchronization over public cloud networks with cloudSwXtch
Beginning Sunday at NAB Show 2023, swXtch.io, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IEX Group, Inc., and TAG Video Systems will demonstrate the power that its cloudSwXtch virtual overlay network brings to live monitoring of media workflows in a joint demonstration at Booth W1542. TAG Video Systems, a leader in software-based integrated IP multiviewing, probing and monitoring solutions, will preview a high-bandwidth, uncompressed video workflow cloudSwXtch application with precision timing protocol (PTP) deployed within the interface of TAG’s live production multiviewing solution.
The demonstration will provide insight into how cloudSwXtch can enable a more dynamic monitoring approach as media moves through the cloud to multiple end points for audience consumption. That includes reliable QC and live signal monitoring with PTP synchronization of video and audio streams. Visitors will also see how cloudSwXtch supports “by-exception” monitoring, which alerts operators that specific problems have been detected in video and/or audio feeds that require attention.
TAG Video Systems will connect to cloudSwXtch’s API to unlock diverse monitoring applications in local, national and global mesh network configurations that can include several public cloud service providers. The result is a comprehensive, centralized toolset to identify, analyze and resolve issues, with visibility of network performance expanded through cloudSwXtch wXcked Eye user interface, a new cloudSwXtch feature for NAB Show 2023.
“cloudSwXtch allows TAG customers to see any video signal, from anywhere, on one screen,” said Paul Briscoe, Chief Architect, TAG Video Systems. “We are excited to preview our integration at NAB, and demonstrate how we deliver multi-format, multi-site, and multi-cloud tools for monitoring dynamic, uncompressed media workflows.”
“TAG Video Systems supports all uncompressed formats with ultra-low latency, making large-scale monitoring in the cloud a reality for broadcasters and media companies,” said Brent Yates, CEO, swXtch.io. “cloudSwXtch offers an ideal development platform for cloud applications that support multicast, PTP synchronization, network path redundancy and high bandwidth 2110 streams. cloudSwXtch provides more control for our partners and their customers thanks to its position just above the cloud as a virtual overlay network. Working closely with TAG, we have developed an application that seamlessly integrates within TAG’s multiviewing interface to support true cloud diversity, improving visibility into different network paths and all corresponding end points.”
“TAG is delighted to join the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program as a cloud Build Partner,” explained Peter Wharton, TAG Chief Strategy Officer. “Moving to the cloud is a business decision that transforms the way media is created and delivered. Being a Google Cloud Build Partner will allow our customers to take advantage of greater opportunities, streamline their operations, optimize their assets, and maximize cost structures.”
